What’s going on at Sue’s Downtown Memphis art gallery?
Over the past year, we’ve all found ourselves with a little more downtime than normal. From finding new hobbies, collecting fun items and spending more time with loved ones, the increase has been the silver lining to challenges the pandemic has presented.
The extra free hours for Sue have resulted in more time to spend painting at home and at her Downtown Memphis art gallery, of course! With warmer weather fast approaching, Sue is working on paintings that buyers can display on their patios. Yep, patios need artwork, too! You can set the original oil-on-canvas original paintings on a flat surface and lean them against a patio wall as shown here or you can hang them as you normally would. The colors will bring new life to your outdoor space and serve as an excellent conversation piece for guests.
In addition to developing new creations, Sue is also adding new shapes, hues and designs to current pieces of artwork. Sue has found there’s always space for another color or a fun pattern in her paintings that are unlike any other. If she feels called to enhance an existing piece, she gets to work! Stay tuned to her social media pages for updates.
Lastly, Sue has been working to get her art gallery located in the South Main Historic Arts District ready for the return of Trolley Night and also to rent. Those looking to host celebrations, showers or even business meetings have a new venue to do so! Sue’s three story modern art gallery encapsulates Memphis’ unique style and will add a touch of character to gatherings that guests will love.
As always, Sue hopes to see you soon at the art gallery. For more information about renting the space or to schedule a private tour for yourself or with your out-of-town guests, give Sue a call at 901-409-7870.
