Green – How Can I Add It To My Home Without Overdoing It?

February 28, 2020

With St. Patrick’s Day around the corner, we have a few tips on how to decorate your home with festive colors and how to avoid getting pinched this year! Adding some color to your home, especially in the spring, is a great way to boost your mood, change up your decor and revitalize your space.

#1 - Add some greenery.

Greenery is a great way to add color, and to make it even better, it doesn’t require a lot of work. Adding plants to your home improves air quality as well because they release chemicals that boost your immune system. But, if taking care of plants is not your specialty, fake orchids can add just as much brightness to your home as real ones.

#2 - Purchase colorful art.

Adding colorful art is always a great way to liven up any space and with spring coming up, pieces with splashes of green will be easy to find. Consider adding this painting from Sue’s collection or a beautiful photograph with pops of green included. Tints, hues and tones of green symbolize life and rejuvenation, so it only seems fitting to add these colors in March with the influx of warmer weather.

#3 - Take a chance on some bigger green items.

Although it may seem scary to purchase bigger home items in bright colors, consider adding a green couch or chair to your living space. This couch, along with other neutral-toned decorative items and accents would look great in any living room. A colored desk could also add just the right amount of pop to your room. Green accent walls or patterned wallpaper are sure to give a dull room some life.

As St. Patrick’s Day and spring arrive, take a chance and add some green to your home. Have questions or need my help? Sue does free consultations! Just give her a call at 901-409-7870.
